The usage of the Kinsey Scale supports the obsolete idea that we could -and should- boil down our sexuality to numbers and/or simple statements. Yes, the Kinsey Reports were important work and influential -if not imperative- for the sexual revolution, but today it is hardly relevant after so many discoveries about human sexuality have been done since then. Furthermore, the Kinsey Scale was based on the reports he built up after interviewing a group of respondants hardly representative for the society he lived in. The Kinsey Scale was introduced in the 40s, quite some time ago. ~Consider when, and by whom, these tests were made. I'll tell you why, voice in my head that encourages me to write this piece!
